Celebration of 71st Constitution Day of India

The Embassy of India celebrated 71st Constitution Day and Campaign on Citizens’ duties on 26th November 2020. Ambassador read out the Preamble of Constitution of India along with all members of the Indian Embassy. 

As part of the celebration, Hon’ble Federico D’Incà, Minister for Parliamentary Relations of the Government of Italy, shared a video message felicitating the people of India on the occasion of the celebration of 71st Constitution Day.

In the evening, Embassy of India, in collaboration with the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” organized an online seminar titled “Seventy years after: the legacy of Indian Constitution”. The event, graced by the opening remarks of the Ambassador of India and by Prof. Pasquale Femia, Director of the Department of Political Sciences Jean Monnet, was attended by a large number of PhD students, scholars and professors from various universities in Italy. Speakers dealt with the main aspects of Indian Constitution and its journery in the last 70 years. 

Yearlong nationwide activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly, began on November 26, 2019. These include monthly events organized by the Embassy in association with schools, universities and various cultural associations based in Italy.
