PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) with the support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is scheduled to organize Hybrid edition of 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on ‘Strengthening India–Europe Economic Relations: Opportunities and Way Forward’ and Buyer and Seller Meets (BSM) between 23rd and 24th November 2021.

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), established in 1905, is a National Chamber working at the grass-root level and posses strong national and international linkages. The Chamber acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship. PHD Chamber, through its research-based policy advocacy role, positively impacts the economic growth and development of India. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) is one of the Premier Chambers in India to have been accredited with “Diamond Grade” by NABET(QCI), at national and international level. PHDCCI is a National Apex Chamber having its international office at Bahrain for 6 GCC countries, with 1,30,000 Indian companies as its members base, as total focus on the development of small and medium businesses. PHDCCI has co-opted National and International Industry Associations and Organisations through over 100 MoUs signed between the parties.

The objectives of the Hybrid edition of 2nd International Conference and Exhibition are as follows:-

  • Make Indian Business specially the Indian SME Sectors, aware of the information on the growth prospect and how their products can find a market and how to mobilize investment in the countries of European Union.

  • To know about the current economic scenario in the Europe region and the innumerable opportunities available for bilateral economic cooperation.

  • Identify the sectors-specific opportunities for Indian economy in Europe region and carryout focused interactions on the core sectors of cooperation, by presenting the sectors where the countries from the region offer competitive advantages, which can be utilized by the Indian Industry.

  • Shed light on the incentive/schemes offered by the Government of India and financial institution and describe how both the region benefits from these incentives.

  • To offer the business communities from both the regions a platform to discuss issues of concern and identify sector specific opportunities.

2nd International Conference and Exhibition on “Strengthening India-Europe Economic Relations” is being organized in recognition of the growing mutual interest by Indian and European businessmen and governments towards strengthening of economic ties between the two regions. Size of the domestic consumer market in India has been a major attraction for investors from European Union. EU is one of the largest investors in India, investing €62.8 billion in 2020.
