AYUSH scholarship scheme

Government of India through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers scholarships to foreign nationals to pursue various Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy (AYUSH) courses in India. Acceptance of AYUSH at international level has resulted in growing demand from foreign students to study n Indian Institutions. The Ministry of AYUSH under its 'International Fellowship Programme’ extends financial support to the eligible foreign nationals for undertaking AYUSH degree courses in premier Institutes in India. Applicants should be 18 years old at the time of admission in Indian Universities/ Institutes.

For the accademic year 2020-2021, 50 scholarships are offered for all countries in UG and PG in Ayurveda, Unani,  Siddha Homoeopathy, B.Sc in Yoga, BA Yoga Shastra, Ph.D in Yoga and Ph.D in Ayurveda

Offer of four (04) scholarships for Italian students for the academic year 2020-2021

The Government of India under the aegis of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is offering four (04) graduate / post-graduate / PhD level scholarships for Italian students for the academic year 2018-2019 within the framework of the Executive Programme of Cultural Cooperation between India and Italy.
The scholarships include enrollment and course fees, besides a fixed amount of living expenses. The scholarships are granted for the full duration of the course. The prospective candidates may please note that the selected candidates for the courses (i) under the CEP/ EEP Scholarship Scheme of ICCR; and (ii) under the ICCR Scholarship Scheme for Indian Music and Dance, will have to bear their airfare to India and back on their own.
Applicants are requested to log onto “Admissions to Alumni” (A2A), the Scholarship Portal developed by ICCR at This portal contains all the relevant information for the applicants including details of all State Universities, Central Universities and Institutes, colleges affiliated with them, courses available, availability of hostels, applications guidelines, eligibility criteria and other relevant information for helping the applicants in decision making while applying for the academic courses of their preference.
Please carefully note the following:

  1. Applications should be submitted latest by 31st January 2020 through the online application mechanism.
  2. Applications should be complete in every detail. Kindly read the guidelines on the portal.
  3. Short-listed candidates will have to appear for an English Proficiency Exam conducted at the Embassy of India, Rome on a suitable date in the first half of February 2020. The applicants will be informed of the date of the English Test through email separately.
  4. Applicants should clearly mention the course to which they are seeking admission while mentioning choices.
  5. Applicants are advised to go through the courses offered by the Universities carefully before finally submitting the application form. List of Universities where ICCR students are currently studying are available in “Admissions to Alumni” (A2A) Portal
  6. ICCR does not award scholarship for MBBS/BDS courses and Casual Research/Diplomas/Short-term courses.
  7. Applicant must produce a medical fitness certificate from the recognized hospital in the prescribed format available with the online application form.
  8. Students applying for M.Phil/Doctoral/Post-Doctoral courses should submit a synopsis along with the application.
  9. Students wishing to pursue performing arts should upload Video/Audio/YouTube link
  10. An applicant should have studied mathematics, physics and chemistry at Higher Secondary level to be eligible for admission to science/engineering courses
  11. Submission of application form does not guarantee confirmed admission.
  12. Indian Universities/ Educational institutions are autonomous and independent bodies and have their own eligibility criteria on the basis of which they confirm admissions.
